It’s been quite a while since Rimmel London products are available in India. I like to go to Parcos in DLF Place, Saket for my purchases from this brand. I bought a couple of things from Rimmel London including eyeliner, lipsticks and my never ending love of finding my perfect foundation. Rimmel London products are very affordable and quality wise god for what you pay.
I tried the foundations at the counter and the ‘upto 12 hours natural shine control’ claim really intrigued me. Considering this hot and humid Delhi weather, I wanted something light for my face. Something really basic to do the job yet not is too cakey or heavy for summer time. Upon trying, I felt this foundation was sort of runny and sheer in consistency though gave enough coverage to be used as a light base for daily wear makeup.
The packaging is usual like that of Maybelline BB Cream which most of us have used (I believe); but more sturdy. The tube is hygienic and allows you to control the amount of product you want to take out.
The foundation gives light to medium coverage at first application and can be build up. It’s almost like a BB cream except for the benefits of it. I use it all the time and like it for it stays on me for a good time, not 12 hours though. The only problem I have with it is that it’s not my exact shade; it’s a bit darker for my skin tone. So I mix it with my BB cream and make my perfect shade.
Recommendations? I like this foundation for summer as its light, stays on my oily face for a while, doest crack or look patchy and of course is very inexpensive. I recommend it for those who either want a light coverage or are tight on budget and are looking for a good foundation.
